The cast is gone!!! I had my appointment today, not fully healed, but enough that I no longer need the cast and I can start physical therapy. It's actually harder to walk now, but it's because I can feel the stiffness of the muscles and ligaments, I'm sure it'll be great once I get some more movement and can't feel all the stretching. I have to do the PT twice a week for 6 weeks, then new x-rays and a reevaluation. I'm just so excited to take a REAL shower tonight when Christian gets home. The small pleasures in life. ;-)
Other than that, the kids and I have head colds. It's not too horrible but I can't talk on the phone or even try to have a conversation in person, every time I do it creates nasty coughing fits so we are a rather silent house right now.
Wyatt is learning his ABC's and has some letter and sound recognition, it's soooo exciting!
Cordelia, well, she's going to give me a heart attack one of these days. She no longer just pulls up on things, she is walking her way around them and making the lunge from one item to another! She's still very shaky, but doesn't seem phased or scared (which scares the pants off me!). And yesterday morning, Christian, Wyatt and I were sitting on the couch and she had pulled up on a chair across the room, she turns, looks at us, stands holding on one handed and rocks back and forth on her toes trying to walk to us. She's not even 6 months! Too fast, TOO FAST! These kiddos aren't even teens yet and they are already "go, go, go, leave me alone mom". Yikes!
Anyhow, Christian is doing well, staying healthy. He goes on a work trip this week, we are hoping it goes well and that he stays safe since it'll be a long drive for him. These trips are hard on Wyatt and I, but hopefully good for Christian's career.
So that's it for now, Cordelia has her 6 month check up on Wed. and I'll update on that then.
XOXO
