Howdy, howdy. It's been a bit since I updated. We have been doing well, just moseying along. Christian is working, I'm doing my physical therapy, and the kiddos... they are learning and growing.
Last week we left Thursday night after Christian got home from work and did the straight thru to Chicago for Easter. It was a LONG trip, but it's always worth the time to see family. We just relaxed on Friday, did a bit of shopping for Easter Sunday and just hung out catching up with each other. Saturday it was bitter cold and windy to boot, but we trekked out to an egg hunt and had fun anyway. Afterwards the kiddos decorated their own eggs and later did sugar cookies followed by a dunk in the tub. Sunday morning dawned to kiddos with Easter baskets, then we went to church. I was able to sit in the preschool class with Cordelia and watch my Aunt Suzanne teach, truly an inspiring thing. If anyone was born to be a teacher, it was her. I so wish we were close enough for Wyatt to attend regularly. After church we enjoyed some quiet time and then starting prepping dinner. We lucked out and didn't get any of the massive amounts of snow originally called for, in fact, it was much warmer than Saturday and very little wind. So we had our egg hunt outdoors. Then a seriously delicious dinner with fabulous company followed by a quick exit and another drive through the night. Poor Christian drove the majority of it, unloaded some of the van and then headed straight to work. He only got about 8 hours of catch up sleep on Tuesday night, then Wednesday night had another all nighter, didn't get home until 3:30am. He's still a bit zombie-ish today but is out helping a friend move this afternoon. What a guy huh?!
This week we don't have anything big happening. I am prepping the kiddos outgrown clothes for a big consignment sale here, it's on Friday, we are hoping to get a good chunk of change from that.
The only other news in our life right now is that my Mom and Step-Dad have decided to pull up stakes and move to Texas. Since they are one of the biggest reasons we didn't just move out of PA when we sold the house, we have decided to re-evaluate our situation. I know we have a handful of family that would love us to be in CA again, but that's just not what we want and not realistic, though we would like to be back on the West Coast. So think positive thoughts for us and send some prayers too. Christian and I wouldn't have a hard time pulling up and moving, but I know Wyatt is going to have a really hard time without his Oma and Pop-Pop in driving distance. He loves to visit their house and asks to go often. I know we won't be going to TX though, so we'll just have to give him lots of extra hugs and patience throughout the transition.
Anyhow, instead of posting the truck load of pictures from Easter, I took the best 24 and made a photoshow. Hope you enjoy (and that it works!)... click the link below.
