Lost

... that's how I'm feeling lately. We just came back from another Mom's Group meeting, this one in Battle Ground. It was nice, the women are great and I think we could have a great time with them.... but... I just don't know what to do for Wyatt. My energetic, out-going boy is just having a hard time connecting with anyone. There are lots of little girls for Cordelia, but only 2 other little boys, and they were both painfully shy, quiet kids. They look at my boy like he's got three heads and he just can't understand why they don't want to run and play with him. We are part of two other groups out of Vancouver, one much bigger and the other somewhat more intimate, unfortunately they both seem to do most of their activities at places that require an entrance fee. I was hoping for a group that did mostly in home play dates, but it seems that is not something that happens a lot. I would even clean the house to have a play date here, but we can't fit more than 4 people in the house without stepping on each other. Ug, I just don't know what to do. It's just growing pains right? Things will get better??? I am just SO IMPATIENT!

Anyhow, in other news, Christian did get that position he interviewed for, but there is a catch... he has to train and then in a few months he will begin getting a salary. He is so excited and I think it's going to be great, if we just make it through to the next stage. The job is running a Martial Arts school (he has no experience in martial arts, that's why he has to be trained) but he can totally run the business and I think he'll do a great job. Plus, it's a little bit of both things he needs out of a job, physical activity and mentally challenging. He's training in martial arts every afternoon and will be sent to a teaching seminar to learn how to teach classes. The school he'll be running will be brand new, they are still working on procuring the space, but he'll have the back up of the other school and the owner while he gets started. He will be teaching, running the school and taking care of the promotion/advertising. In the meantime, he's desperately trying to get any job, anything that will pay the bills for the next few months until the school opens. Wish him luck!

Doctor Wyatt!

Cordelia had a little diaper issue after dinner at G'ma Ellie's, and Mama was unprepared, so she got to wear G'ma's turtleneck home.

Well, Wyatt could get a job in the medical field to help with the bills. What a cute picture! Cordelia looks more than happy to be wearing that shirt!

Have your new playgroup people call our playgroup people and we will talk. LOL! I hope you find something that fits.
