Mine has been great! Yesterday we went to the mall, I got to have my makeup done at the MAC counter (which I haven't done since we left CA) and Christian took the kids shopping.

Afterwards we went to lunch, yummy Mexican ('cause it's super cheap) and then home for nap time. I left and met up with a friend to do some Yarn Store browsing and pick up a ball winder.
When I came home the kids wanted to give me my Mother's Day gifts that they picked out, they were so cute and excited, they gave me a knitting book, two sappy movies, and they each picked out a silver bracelet for me.

Then we had cheese fondue for dinner.
This morning was nice and quiet, the kids played nicely and Christian helped me wind all the yarn we could gather. We made a makeshift swift (the thing that holds your yarn while you wind) out of Tinker Toys.

We attached that and the winder to the table.

We got started and got all these pretty little yarn "cakes" for our hard (not really) work.

Once we got going, we just couldn't stop, we I rounded up all my "scraps" from finished projects and we wound the scraps too.

After we finished the last of the scraps, Christian looks at me and said "Really, that's it? We should go get more, this is so much fun!" Oh how I love my guy!! =]
Ironically, my cousin showed up shortly after (to go on a bike ride with Christian) and brought a BAG FULL of really nice, yummy yarn from his girlfriend's mom. She apparently couldn't make it work for the projects she was working on and so just gave it! What a sweet person. So now we have more to wind up. Whoo hoo! Thank you Tracy's Mom!!
