July Catch Up...

I know, I was supposed to have this posted yesterday, but our adventure to the park turned into more of an adventure then I had planned. It was supposed to be cool out, so I didn't pack suits or a change of clothes because I figured we wouldn't be playing in the water feature... wrong I was. So after a long morning of playing in the water fountain, I stripped the kids, loaded them in the van and figured we'd head home for lunch... only to find that the van was having issues. Would not run. Ug. After much craziness I got Grandpa Dan to come rescue us... needless to say, blogging wasn't high on the list after that. It is all better now... so here you go. =D

After some really busy weeks, we took some time to just be mellow and hang out...When did my boy get so big?? 4 years old and so tall.
The kids have gotten to be such wonderful pals.
And, of course, we had lots of dress up/imagination time.
Chef Cordelia.
Wyatt's big into pretending to be a "daddy"... giving piggy-back rides.
And my biggest kid, Christian, was so thrilled with his first martial arts induced black eye, he insisted I take pictures for blog posting.
Silly guy, it's the small things in life...
We attended a play-date at a park and saw friends we hadn't seen for a good while...
... where we got to have great fun decorating cookies...
... and eating them!
And had great bubbly fun.

We attended our cousin Caleb's 4th birthday, it was glow in the dark golf...
... and we ate lots of sweets treats.
Wyatt even got to help open the presents, which he thought was the coolest.
Then later that same day... we attended a picnic for Grandpa Dan's 85th Birthday!
I just love this picture of Grandpa, and you'd never know he was 85. And this is one of my favorites of Grandma Ellie... a real laughing smile. I think it shows her great personality. Some swing fun while we wait for the home-made ice-cream to finish churning. My girl, looking so grown up, and already giving me the "whatever mom" look she isn't supposed to know until her teenage years.
And of course, I have some fun pictures to post that are not the most flattering, but they are so fun, and I always threaten to post them... well, I'm following through today.

My girl... being oh so girlie with her legs straight out and an open mouth full of carrots. And poor Uncle Howie... every time I take his picture, he blinks....
Really, every time...
So this is his solution...
Like father, like son... making faces for the camera runs in the family.

And lastly, the last Wednesday of the month, we attended a library event where we saw all kinds of reptiles. It was really fun and the kids had a great time.
Waiting patiently in line to get a touch...... of an albino python!
Cordelia was fine and thought it was cool, until the head came back around, this was the last picture before full hysterics.

Bless her heart, I would have been full of hysterics too!

You have such adorable little ones!
