Funday

For most people, Sunday is their down day, a day to relax, reflect and rejuvenate before heading out again for the next work week. But for us, it's our "funday". The only day when we are usually guaranteed to have Christian home. Which of course means that's the only day we almost never stay home. This is our funday from the weekend before last.

We started the day on Uncle Howie's boat, enjoying the river and having a great time.
Stan and Caleb joined us as well.
Christian jumped in, even though it was a tad cool.
But he enjoyed his time on the knee board...
even did a few spins.
The kids had fun watching. Then Stan got up (he literally "POPS" out of the water, it's amazing to watch) on the wake board.
Unfortunately these are the only pictures I took before he started doing some really cool, high flying moves. He was working on a full flip off the wake, and I used Howie's camera to capture on video (so I don't have it).
Cordelia decided it was all too much, and she crashed out. Slept for a good 45 minutes.
The boys and their daddy's took a little ride, actually they took a long ride... all the way back to the docks. Almost the whole time Cordelia was sleeping for.
Wheeee!! (note the mountain on the left, that's Hood)
We saw a bunch of really beautiful sail boats... took this for my dad.

After boating, we parted ways with Stan and Caleb. Howie joined us for a trip to the Portland Beavers game. It was a 'Stitch n' Pitch', which means that they give special discounted tickets if you are a needle crafter.
Not the most flattering picture, but here I am, in weather as close to sweltering as Portland gets, knitting and enjoying a ball game.
Wyatt and Uncle Howie, Wyatt is terribly smitten with him and just loves when he gets to hang out one on one with him. We were getting stomped, even after a grand slam in the bottom of the 7th, stomped."Let's Go Beaver's, Let's GO!"
Fun art piece just outside the stadium.

Funday's are the best.
