Easter - Take 1

As happens with most events for us, we celebrated Easter multiple times.
The weekend before Easter we headed to Moses Lake to enjoy some time with my Mom and Step Dad. On the way we encountered a full stop traffic jam in the mountains. Instead of being cranky about it, we turned the car off and got out and had us a grand time on the side of the road... in the snow!
Even built a snowman with a father and son from another vehicle.
Sadly, the warm weather meant that he didn't make it long. Crashed right after we had piled back into the van and the traffic started moving again.
Coming down out of the mountains the view and weather just got better and better.
We then enjoyed a good time at Oma and Pop-Pop's house.
The kids had fun things to do, like dissolve capsules in water and watch them become sponge animals.
Saturday was spent fishing... or picking flowers... or napping as the case may be.
And getting sunburned.
Sunday morning was our Easter Sunday with the eastern WA families.
First with baskets from Pop-Pop.
Then we packed up, hugged good bye...

And headed west to Yakima to have cousin time.
And an egg hunt.
Getting these kids to stand still for a picture is impossible.
Finally!
And they're off again. Enjoying the beautiful day and many fun things to explore and play on.

After just a couple of short hours, we had to head home. We decided to take a new route which was a tad longer but had gorgeous scenery.
Of course the kids slept through most of it... but it was much needed rest.

.... stay tuned ...
