New Trails

The cheapest thing for us to do as a family is to drive around and explore. And Christian's favorite place to explore is in the hills and mountains looking for rocks and mud. We've gotten pretty good at finding fun and beautiful places.
On our last trip out, we found some especially interesting things.
Christian got his rocks...
The kids thought the old abandoned cars were cool...
Christian snagged me an old tire to use as a planter...
Though he wasn't too thrilled to put it in the back of his Jeep (it was muddy and very wet).
We were disappointed to see a bunch of carcasses on the side of the road though, we counted about eight in one spot. We used it to talk to the kids about the cycle of life and responsible hunting practices.
The views at the top were phenomenal!
And Christian was most happy that he actually found some mud pits on this trip...
And even got a little bit of dirt on the Jeep.
