The week before Valentine's Day was a busy one.
On Monday, Wyatt decided to make his own valentines for school. We went to the dollar store and he chose red and pink hearts and red heart lollipops.

He wrote on each one and then glued them together and glued a lollipop to the top.

On Tuesday we went to a play date and made little mailboxes for our valentines.

On Wednesday Wyatt had a class field trip to the post office. They had made valentines for the parents and were going to mail them.

Wyatt paid for his stamp, he was so proud of himself.

The kids got to watch the full mailing process, buying the stamp, putting it on, putting the letter in the box, and then where it goes on the other side.

The Postmaster used Wyatt's letter as an example, he's pointing to our address...

And then he put it in, ready for the carrier to come pick it up and bring it to our house.

The next day our valentine arrived. It reads "Dear Mom and Dad, I love you. You are sweet! Love, Wyatt"

Thursday night Grandpa Dan and Grandma Ellie visited with little valentine treats for the kids.

And on Friday Wyatt had his Valentine's Day party, it also happened to also be Pajama Day. The 1st grade buddies came to the party to help the kids read all their valentines.

Then they all played bingo and won fun treats from the teacher.

Cordelia and Wyatt were given these hearts to decorate from Aunt Arlene, I think they turned our beautifully.
