Boatin'

We were given my step-dad's boat when he and my mom moved back to PA. Christian had to borrow a motor from my uncle until we can afford to buy one ourselves, but can't complain about a free boat! We are having a great time on it. We've had an unusual number of rain days the last two months, record breaking in fact. But we still found time to make use of our new toy.

Our first time out, we just meandered around the little lake by our house. The kids fished a bit and I knit on my sock. We stayed out until the rain chased us home, the skies were fun to watch though.

We had nice weather again on Mother's Day, so we packed a picnic and headed out on the boat. The kids did a bit more fishing, still no luck catching, but a couple of nice guys in another boat gave us their fish because they were catch and release fishing but one didn't fair so well. Christian showed the kids how to tie it outside the boat and then he took it home and cooked it up.
